Bat Out of Hell returns to the West End with a bang

Many theatre and Meat Loaf fans alike have been eagerly awaiting the return of Bat Out of Hell The Musical. Jim Steinman’s new rock musical based on the legendary album returns to London with previews starting on 2nd April. I was lucky enough to get invited to the West End launch event which not only gave a sneak preview of the theatre but also an exclusive performance of some of the show’s hottest numbers!

First of all we headed to the American International Church on Tottenham Court Road for the live gig! This obviously calls for a stagey lanyard…

The venue was perfect – edgy and beautiful all at the same time, just like the show itself.

Check out these vocals! We were treated to Bat Out of Hell, A Real Dead Ringer for Love and a few other songs from the show. This cast is on top form!

After the gig, we were invited back to the Dominion Theatre to take a look at the set being put together and listen to the creative team talking about the show. They said with West End ticket prices so high they were determined to show that you’re getting good value for money with this show!

Do you think they hung the dead bodies up just for our visit?
